Baby Dress

First thing I made for Baby Girl!  Since Carter calls her our little ladybug, I just could not pass up this material.  I was really proud of how it turned out!  I put all my heart and soul into this dress, plus a few chunks of finger.  Yep, you may have heard I decided to sew my finger, and this is what I was making.  I have always pictured my finger being pricked by the needle, but I never though I would really do it.   I managed to put the needle all the way through my finger.  It was so stuck that I had to manually back up the needle, and then pull my finger off the needle.  It was pretty painful, so luckily I have on onsite doctor to dope me up and help me to bed.  Thanks Timmy!

Diaper cover to match, because we don't want to be seeing that!

Carter pretty excited to show off the little thing!

Cleft Team

Carter had his first Cleft Palate Team appointment yesterday.  It was nice to have Tim with us for the day since we had to be in Detroit all day and we left out house at 5:00 AM.  Carter did so great seeing everyone, and was a trooper.  The first appointment was with the dentist, which Carter made very clear he was not looking forward to.  The dentist was very patient with Carter though, and finally did get to peak in his mouth.  After looking at him, the dentist asked Carter for a high five.  Carter just shook his head no.  I told Carter that if he gave the dentist a five, he would leave the room.  I have never seen Carter give such a hard high five after that!  He was excited to get out of there!
He then was seen by the plastic surgeon, ENT, social worker, speech therapy, and audiology.  He really liked hanging out with the speech therapist since she has some cool games.  She had a book that he would have to pick out the correct picture from 4 different pictures on the page.  So she would say "Point to the ..." and he would point to the correct one.  We were really impressed with how well he was doing.  But, it just kept going on and on.  Carter finally looked at therapist and said "I am tired of picking one out.  How about you choose one now!"  It was so stinking funny!  Love you little man!!!
Every time some one would leave the room he would said "I wonder who is coming to play with me next?"
So in the end, it was decided that Carter was doing excellent.  They really had no concerns, and felt he was growing well.  Speech is great, breathing is great, and he is just a normal 3 year old!  If you would have told me 2 years ago this is where we would, I would not have believed it!  So we are very thankful and blessed by his progress.
We told Carter that if he listened to the Doctors and let them look at him, then he could choose out a goodie at Costco on our way home.  So, we now have Mr. Frog in our family.  It is a cool chair that he sits in, sleeps with, and loves on.  There was no talking him into just a book!
We love you little Carter!  You are an amazing boy, and we are so blessed to call you our son!  XOXOXO
Just doing some shopping at Trader Joe's.

Exhausted, and Mr. Frog.

The water fountain snuck up on him at Costco and left a big knot on his head. :(

I am pretty sure he loved this guy so much because it matches his pillow pet.

Perfect for reading!

Birthday Mamma

I can not believe I am 29 years old!  For some reason, I still think I am 25.  I actually filled out my age on a form the other day as being 25...  Denial I guess!
I had a great day hanging out with my boys.  They made me feel extra special and spoiled me.  The day before, the took me shopping so I could buy some cute clothes with my gift card from Mom and Dad.  The boys let me sleep in while they made breakfast. Then we enjoyed just being together.  Tim tackled making a cake, which I loved.  He hates making cakes, but I think birthday's are all about the cakes!!!
Showing off my new birthday shirt from Timmy.  Might fit me in a few months...

I wanted to take a picture of what I look down and see.  Then I realized it was not quite complete...

Yep, that is better.  This is what I look down and see!

Good job Timmy!

And other year down!!!!

22 Weeks

Getting bigger, not sure if it is baby or cheesecake....
Rocking a new hair style thanks to my super hot husband that set up a hair appointment for me.  I think he was tired of looking at frumpy me.  Carter continues to come up with a new name every day for the baby.  The newest one is Coffee...  I am hoping he comes up with something else soon.

All the girls!

21 Weeks

Baby girl is just cooking away.  This week I have really started to feel good again.  We got passes to the brand new YMCA that opened up in town, so Carter and I have been enjoying going there every day.  I work out for an hour while he enjoys playing in the kids zone.  It allows him to interact with other kids and adults with out Mom around, so it really has been good.  After that we go swimming for an hour.  It really has been fun to have something to look forward to everyday.  And, we nap all afternoon when we get home!  Hopefully this will help me from gaining so much weight with this little one.

Am I really going to have 2???
Obsessed with my headbands.  He really, really, wanted to wear it to the YMCA.  Next time I might give in just so I don't have to put up with the fight!
