Update

Just a quick update to let you all know that Carter does not have to have the mandibular distraction surgery at this time. After reviewing the sleep study and seeing him in the office, the plastic surgeon felt it was not necessary at this time. So, we are very happy and relieved that we have dogged this bullet! Hopefully things just keep getting better for him and we will never have to go through this surgery! Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers!

Sleepy!

Yesterday was the big day for the Sleep Study at the children's hospital. We arrived there about 7:30pm ready for a great night of sleep! Carter however had other plans... He did so well considering all the stuff they placed all over his body. He woke up about every hour, and in the end got a total of 5 hours 30 minutes of sleep. (Much more than me!). I am super proud of my little angel.
After we woke up, we were off the see the plastic surgeon and then the ENT. They presented us with some information which is leading to some pretty tough decisions for Tim and Me. Please Pray for my little man. He means the world to me, and I would do anything for him to make him all better.
Thanks Teresa and Nick for the Glow Worm, it was the only thing that would calm Carter down last night!! I am off to bed now, the whole family is exhausted after the sleep study!! (And, I thought all we were going to do was sleep!)

26 Years

Today was my 26th birthday, thank you Mom for giving birth to me all those years ago. I have always enjoyed my birthday because I love hearing from all my family and friends that I don't usually get to talk to. Tim made it a great day for me! He invited a lot of people over tonight for some birthday goodies. It was a lot of fun. It really makes you feel loved when people come over to your house to celebrate you! That is one thing I will miss about Kirksville, being close to good friends. Each and every one of them made it special for me today, and I appreciate it. Carter was a doll, and all the girls fell in love with him. I love you Timmy!!

Happy Lovers Day

Happy Valentines Day everybody!! Hope you get lots of kisses and loves. Here are some more pictures of Carter for the family members who are getting cranky. Carter is still very very adorable. He is sleeping very well for the most part, most nights he sleeps at least 7 hours solid (sorry Nanna!). And, this week I made the most amazing cinnamon rolls ever!! I am sure they will help me lose all that baby fat! The Realtor is coming over on Monday, and after that we will officially have our house on the market. So if any of you want to buy an awesome house in wonderful Missouri, let us know!!

7 Weeks

It amazes me how much Carter seems to change day to day. He is truly the best thing that has ever happened to Tim and Me. If you had asked me a year ago if I wanted kids, I would have told you probably not. I know now that that would have been the biggest mistake of my life. I love my little man more than anything.
Tomorrow Cousin Kayla is having her tonsils removed. We will be thinking of her all day, and we wish we could be there to give her kisses and loves. Eat lots of ice cream and pudding Kayla, we love you!!!
I have tried all night to post a video, I think it must be too big for my blog. So, here is the link to see the cutiest baby in the world: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mp4qtIEZMFw

Kenai

I have gotten many comments on how Kenai look depressed in the pictures that I post. I can tell you right now, Kenai is a very smart dog. I am sure all those poses that made her look so sad were well planned on her part to see if she could get some sympathy from you all. I see that it has worked! Well, she is still very well taken care of, and has gotten to go out on many walks this week due to the beautiful weather (It was 75 degrees today)! So, I dedicate this entry to Kenai, we still love you and your baby brother loves you too!!
P.S. Joseph Smith liked Denver, he thought it was a very holy place. He would encourage you to move there, I am sure of it.

First Hike

This past Saturday was so beautiful and warm outside (65 degrees!), that Tim and I decided to take Carter out on the weekly hike. Our good friends Nate and Celeste have been picking Kenai up every Saturday and taking her out on a hike with her best friends Ollie and Steve Ray. The dogs not only had a wonderful time, but Jessica and I loved getting out with the new babies. Carter was quite a trooper, and slept the whole time!

6 weeks

Well, Carter will be 6 weeks old tomorrow. I can not believe how big my little man is getting. He watched his first super bowl today, and really enjoyed it. He has been sleeping really well at night, only getting up once or twice. I on the other hand spend much of my night making sure he is still breathing. Tim and I have come to the conclusion that his breathing may be getting worse... Not really sure what that means, but we are keeping a close eye on it. Timmy has a big test tomorrow and spent much of the day in front of the TV and eating good food, so he will be up very late. I think Carter really smiled at me this weekend, like because he thought it was funny. It made my heart happy. Hope you all had a good weekend.
