Potty Time

I told Carter to say hi to Aiden while I took this picture .  So his response: "Hi Aiden, I am potty trained!"
Yep, it is a true story.  We have had very few accidents this past week.  And he will wake up dry.  The best part was that it was all his doing.  He just woke up one day wanting to go potty, and that was it!  Good job Carter, you rock!!

Swinging

Pretty Sure this little boy thinks his Daddy is the best for making him a tire swing.

2 Year olds say the funniest things: Heard from his room during nap time, when he is not allowed to get out of bed "Help!  Can anybody hear me?"

Out on the Town

For such a small town, there is a lot going on during the summer here.  We had a great time exploring the town, and meeting some people.
Polish Festival
Polish Dog a must at the Polish Festival!
Loving the Elephant Ear!!
First ride all by himself.  I have to admit, I got a little moist in the eyes when he just jumped aboard.  My little baby is starting to become a big boy.
Choo-Chooo
I think he is having fun...
See, looks like fun. :)

River Roar
This is a big deal in our little town.  Fast boats on the river, for 3 days.  And on Saturday there was a big concert: Styx.  We could actually hear the concert from our house, but we went downtown to get a bit closer to the action.  Carter loved watching the boats, and I was surprised by how fast they go!

Vacation has Ended!

Tim started orientation today at the hospital.  That means our 3 months of vacation is officially over.  For our last weekend, we decided to head out to the woods to experience some Michigan camping.  We went to the Upper Peninsula  and camped on Lake Michigan.  It was a task to find a campground with some privacy from other people, but we ended up finding a great spot for the weekend.  It was right on the beach, so we had lots of fun playing in the sand and water.  Carter had a great time sleeping in the tent.  He also continued to want to potty train, especially when he found out he could just pull down his pants in the woods.  Enjoy the huge amount of photos, and just be glad that I cut out most of the 650 pictures we took in 2 days. :)

We decided to head up to the Soo Locks to check out the big boats.  It is right on the boarder of Canada and Michigan.  Carter enjoyed seeing the big boats, but was tired of it all as we were waiting for the water to fill up.  Slow process, but fun being right up to the big boats.  The Upper Peninsula is known for it's fudge and the pasties.  Fudge I tried, pasties I have yet to brave. Maybe next time...

Thanks for an amazing 3 months Timmy.  It was so much fun to have you all to ourselves for that long.  No longer pretending babe, you are now Dr.Daddy.  Good luck!!!

Coming to an End

We are now in Michigan, trying to get settled into our new home.  It is such a change from Layton.  To say we are homesick is an understatement.  I am a tad behind of blogging, so this is my catch up post.
We got to spend a little over a week in Durango hanging out with the Chartier family.  It is so much fun to see Aiden and Carter play together.  The thing I am going to miss most about living in Utah is being close to loved ones.  It was so sad to say goodbye to Nanna and the kids, and we are going to miss being able to visit them.  Really, really miss it.  So, thank you Nanna for a great week.  We love you and can not wait till we live close again.
Fish Hatchery: Cheap fun and can entertain all ages of kids.

Birthday party for Tyler at the Bowling Ally.  I am still horrible at this sport, but Carter is amazing!

And Nanna, they have an airport here...

After leaving Colorado, we headed up to Utah to pack up the truck.  We had amazing help yet again loading up the truck.  Thank you for all that help!  And, we had a great time staying at Aunt Kathy and Steve's house.  Really going to miss living close to those guys.  :(  I think it is pretty clear we were sad to leave Utah.  Michigan is going to have to be pretty amazing in order to beat it.  I'll let you know how it goes...
