Week 29

So I just realized that this little guy is going to be here before I know it. I am starting to get a little panicky, seeking that I have absolutely nothing for him. Tim tells me we have plenty of time... We went to the Doctor last Friday and everything was looking good. No problems, so all is well. Last week was rough on us. We found out that we do not get to go to Utah next year for rotations. Tim and I have been set on Utah for 2 years now, so it was very upsetting. Our best friends (and Kenai's) are all going to Utah, so it was a shock. Instead we are going to be going to Denver. I know, sounds great, but when you had your heart set on something else, it just does not seem right. I am excited to be close to Andrea and the Kids, that will be great. And, maybe Baby Ochoa can stay with Aunt Nanna while his parents hit up the ski slopes. Just an idea...
I am getting very excited for Mom and Dad to get here in the next couple of weeks. It will be so much fun to show them good ole Missouri. We also found out that Mom and Dad will both be here in January to see the new baby. How exciting!!!!
Tim is studying very hard all the time. I am so proud of him, he has been getting excellent grades and learning so much. Kenai and I miss him, but in the end I am sure it will all be worth it.

Week 28

Well I have made it to week 28, the third and final trimester!! We are starting to get pretty excited for this new little one to be a part of our family, and very nervous at the same time. Kenai barks and jumps at Tim every time he touches my belly, so we are really going to have some training that needs to be done. She know she will not longer be the baby, and I am not sure she is liking it. On a side note, I used the last of my raspberry jelly from home, so it was a pretty sad day. Maybe Mom and Dad will be able to bring me some more next month....

John Wayne

Many of you know that the baby boy still does not have a name. There are many nick names floating around out there. The two most popular being Little Barney and JW. Little Barney of course comes from my side of the family, in hopes that this little guy will be named after my daddy. JW comes from all the people that I work with in the OR. It has become some what of a game in the middle of surgeries to see just how little trivia I know. I can never guess the group that is singing on the radio or anything, so people get quite a kick making fun of me. Well one day, someone said something about John Wayne. Me being the dumb one that I am asked who John Wayne was. Yeah, it did not go over well with these southern people. They could not believe I was not taught about John Wayne in Alaska. So, from that day forward, there have been pictures of John Wayne up all over the place, and old westerns on the TV of John Wayne when I arrive in the mornings. And then the nick name started: JW. Every morning when I come in the OR, it is "Hi Mommy, Hi JW!" (As they all come rushing to put their hands on my tummy). There is not a single person who does not call him JW.
Today in Surgery, we did not use the bulb suction, so instead of throwing it away,it was presented to my as a snot sucker with the name JW on it! Needless to say, I think there will be lots of cowboy gifts coming for this boy! Oh the things I have learned in Missouri!
So, if there are any ideas for names, we are still open to suggestions.

27 Weeks

Here is the belly at 27 weeks. Tim has been a little jealous with having to take my picture every week, so we decided to see what he looks like at 27 weeks also!

Pie

I have decided to start a blog of my own after having so much fun reading everyone else's!! I must say my life here in Kirskville, MO is probably not nearly exciting enough to write every day, but I will give it a go. The main reason I decided to start this is the fact that Tim and I are expecting a little one to arrive in January. I think this will be a great way for my family to be able to check up on the progress of the whole labor thing since many of them will be basking in the Mexican sun come baby time.
I woke up today knowing I really needed to get some major cleaning done on the house. The first thing I started cleaning was the kitchen, and I realized that I had a ton of apples left over from last weekends apple picking adventure. So, instead of scrubbing the floors and cleaning the toilets, I decided to make a pie!!!! I know, tough decision for a pregnant lady. Anyways, this pie is beautiful. I was so proud of the way it looked that I rushed it into Tim's study room to show off my work. He was in there studying with a few others, and as I was turning around my pie for everyone to ohh and ahh at it, all I got was laughter. I looked down and my whole belly was just covered to flour. It sticks out so far, that it just picked up all the pie flour for me. I was a mess, and a little embarrassed by the size of my giant belly.
This pie is for you Daddy, I will eat it thinking of how much you would enjoy it!
