Week 34

Wow, only 6 weeks left!!! I can not believe it, the time has gone by so fast. This week was wonderful do to the fact that I had a short work week, and Tim had the whole week off. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner with friends, and we even got Jessica to try a piece of Turkey (which she said tasted like "cat food out of a can"). Vegetarians.... I am feeling great, so Tim and I took Kenai out on a couple of hikes to get some fresh air. Today, the girls here threw me a baby shower that was great fun. We got some wonderful stuff for the little guy and feel very blessed. Thanks so much, we will miss you guys dearly next year!!!
I guess the big excitement of the week is that we have decided on a name for baby boy Ochoa (sorry Dad, it is not Barney. So, if you are really set on Barney you may want to stop reading now). We made Tim's white board in his room the baby list board all week, and we each put up our favorite names. We were allowed to cross off any name we did not like, and we were not allowed to go back. Tim finally made the decision on Friday that we had the name and wrote it up on the board. I love it so much, and am really excited about it. Now, this is not to say that if when he comes out his name does not fit him, that we cant change it, but this is what we are sticking to right now. OK, are you ready.... The newest member of our family will be called: Carter Joseph Ochoa!!! OK, if you don't like it, we don't want to hear it! We thought about keeping it a secret just because somebody always has something to say bad about the names, but this is our final answer. So, only positive feedback please!!! Hope you all love it! We are excited to meet Carter and feel so blessed by all the love and support that surrounds us.

Swing

Yea, I love it that presents are starting to roll into the house now!! It is so fun putting together all the new stuff. Today we got the swing from Andrea and Ian. I am totally impressed with it, and think it is so beautiful. The baby boy is going to love it I am sure. It swings and rocks, and plays lots of different sounds with lights and all. Thanks Andrea, Ian, Kayla, Tyler, and Aiden!!!

Pack and Play

Here is the newest gift we got in the mail. Mom and Dad got the pack and play for us. This is where the little guy is going to sleep for the first months of his life, until we move and can get a crib. It is super cute, and we both love it! Thanks Mom and Dad!!!!

Word of the Week

When Mom and Dad were here last week, we were sitting at the dinner table talking about their upcoming trip to Mexico. I started to talk about the last time that we went to Mexico, and how Dad was taking Pepto Bismol prophylactically every day to keep from getting sick, and how silly that was. Dad's eyes got really big and said "I did not shove Pepto Bismol up my butt!!"
So, for all you out there that think prophylactically means to take a medicine rectally, you are mistaken. You can now ask Dad what it means, and he will be sure to give the right definition.

Week 33

Tim and I went to the doctor this week and everything looks good. I am continuing to become bigger and bigger. We are having a very hard time thinking of a name now, and getting a little nervous about that. Tim thinks I am getting a little moody, but I don't agree. I am still as enjoyable as ever. Tim is done with finals now, and has this week off to spend with Kenai. He worked very hard and got all A's and one B.
We got to go out on a hike today with Kenai at the state park. Kenai snuck in the water when we were not looking, and was very proud of herself. Enjoy the big belly pictures.

Family Time

This week was so great for me. Mom and Dad came to visit!! They were the first people we have ever had visit us in Missouri. It was great fun and meant a lot to us. Tim has finals this week, so he really didn't get to hang out with them very much, but it was kind of nice for me to have some company during this hard week. We went to the Amish town and tried to figure them all out, and the rest of the time was spent cooking, eating, and napping. It was great!!! Kenai really loved having them here, she is super sad today. Dad fixed the wall where Kenai ate chunks out of, and it looks great now. I know they will be back soon when the baby is born, but I can not help being really sad. I never realized just how lonely it was here in Kirksville until they came. Ahhh, safe travels Mom and Dad, and Thank you so much for coming!! Love you!!!!

Week 32

The belly is getting bigger and bigger! Mom and Dad brought me some clothes from Andrea, so I am feeling like a million bucks having more than 2 outfits. Tim and I have decided it is now time to panic because this little guy is coming very soon. We can no longer be in denial, we will really be parents in less than 2 months!!

Week 31

Ok, I am looking very large now and feeling very large. The baby is moving around a lot and he gets the hiccups a lot. He is definitely head down now, so I get to feel his little butt poking out a lot. No name yet... This weekend was spent doing lots of cleaning so the house will be all clean for Mom and Dad when they get here. I am super excited to see them!!!! Tim did so well on his test today: 94%!! I am so proud of him, he works really hard.

Big Belly

Well, I have had some comments, from some certain people about how huge my belly looks. So I thought I would just post some pictures to remind others how little my belly actually looks compared to some others I have seen.... Love Ya!!!

Fall

When I got off work today, I pulled Timmy away from his studies and told him he was going to the state park with Kenai and me. I had this great idea that I was going to take some wonderful pictures of Kenai in all the fall colors. However, as we were driving out there, we realized that we had missed all the fall colors, and the leaves were already on the ground and all brown. Oh well! We still had a lot of fun spending some time together, and Kenai had a blast getting in some swimming. It was a super nice day, about 70 degrees, so we just had to enjoy it!

Week 30

Yes, that is right, already week 30. That means 10 weeks till baby comes.... Very soon. It is getting extra hard to move around these days. If something drops on the floor, you might as well just leave it there, because it is not worth the effort to go and get it. I went to Jessica's baby shower this weekend, lots of fun, and neat to look at all the baby stuff. Today Jessica and I went to Columbia to do some major shopping. We both got some really cute stuff for the new little guys about to come into this world. My big and first baby purchase happened today: I bought the traveler system, car seat and stroller that I really wanted. It is so cute, and I had a lot of fun pushing it around the house after I put it together. Now I can rest in peace tonight knowing at least the little guy has a car seat to come home in if he were to show up a little early.
We were in a store today when the lady that works there told me that I really needed some hand sanitizer for my diaper bag. I told her that seemed like thinking ahead way too much. She proceeded to then look at both Jessica and Me and comment how Jessica had much more time to think on it, but I had better get on the ball. Real funny lady, Jessica is due 3 weeks before me!!! I then got the whole lecture about how every woman carries the baby differently and blah blah blah. Whatever, I know I look huge but hey, I enjoy my pies!!!
I am getting really excited for Mom and Dad to get here. Can't wait to actually have some family here to be with. Tim did the nicest thing today for me: While I was in Columbia spending my hard earned money, he took a study break and went to the store to buy my OJ and cereal so I can eat in the morning. All day I was dreading coming home after a long day of shopping and having to walk in to Walmart. So thank you Timmy. I love you and good luck on your test tomorrow!!!
