Goodness

Carter can make me laugh so hard by what he says sometimes.  Today's favorites:
Me: "Carter, guess what time it is?"
Carter: "Pie Time!!!"
(Real answer: Bed Time.)

Me: "Carter, would you like to have a brother or a sister?"
Carter: "Nope, Burger"
(Warning: This is no announcement, just a random question for the little one.  Do Not Read Into This Question!!)

Check

I know it is dry here in Utah Carter, but this might be a little too much lotion!

Carter had his 2 year check up and here are his stats:
Weight: 27.3 pounds (35%)
Length: 33.5 inches (25%)
Head: 19.5 inches (75%)
Yeah, you read those percentages right.  What an amazing boy!!!  Carter still takes 10mg of Pepcid each day, but is eating like a champ.  He is also wearing his CPAP every night and is doing so well with it.  We will do another sleep study in March to see how his breathing is doing, and what we should do next.  So, it is like we have a real 2 year old on our hands now, and I love it!!!

Prefect Love

This little boy is so in love with his Daddy.  Can you blame him?  He has the most perfect Daddy a boy could ask for.
Good demo Timmy.
I have this picture of me when I was his age.  It must be important to stick out the tongue.
Working that tongue, you go little man!!!
Ahhhh!

We had Carter evaluated for Speech Therapy again today.  She said our little man is doing so well with his speech, and saying sounds that some 5 year olds can not even get.  She checked him out on all the sounds that are problems for cleft kids, and he was rocking them.  He does have a few words that are nasally, but that does not really get addressed until his is closer to 5 years old.  Good news Carter, you are amazing!!!!

Serious Alaskan

After Christmas, we had to take a quick trip to Coeur d'Alene for an interview.  Carter was seriously an angel in the car.  Really, we could not have asked for a better boy after sitting in the car for 12 hours.  Tim and I got to enjoy a nice dinner before the interview in Spokane.  The program seems to be stellar, so it would not be bad to end up there.
We took Carter out sledding after a big snow storm, and I all I have to say is this guy has some serious Alaskan in this blood.  He would fall face first in the snow and just sit up and laugh.  Who does that???  And he loved going in the sled.  He would giggle the whole way down and then say "More".  He even got so good he got to go down the hill by himself!  (Don't worry, Kenai would run along side of him!)

Christmas 2010

Christmas this year was spent with our little family just enjoying the day.  It was so much fun watching the excitement in Carter's eyes when he realized why this Santa guy was so awesome.  Carter got really good at opening presents and when they were finally all opened, he said "More Carter's presents please"!!  We saved the stockings for last.  Carter dug in his stocking and was so excited to see an orange in there.  Really, he passed up all the candy and was just giddy about the orange.  I am thinking this is probably the last year the orange will get such approval.  We spent 2 hours opening the presents and playing.  It was so much fun.  Santa also spoiled me with some sweet new shirts to kick up my style.  He figured since I was about to become a Doctors wife, I better start looking the part!
For dinner we went over to Steve and Kathy's and had an amazing dinner.  It was good to represent the Kays!!!  Hope you all had an amazing holiday with your family!
I was there for Christmas, just no pictures of me!
