Waterfall Canyon- Take 2

The weather today was beautiful, so we decided to attempt Waterfall Canyon again.  We went with Jessalyn this time to catch up with her, and to see what she has been up to.  It was tons of fun.  We love having Jessalyn along on our hikes, and Carter was such a flirt with her!  I have a feeling that little man is going to be trouble when he grows up.  We made it to the waterfall this time, and it was awesome.  I can not wait to go back when it is pumping in all it's glory.  Of course there are tons of pictures to accompany the day, so enjoy!
Carter is finally getting over his virus, yet he woke up on Saturday with an ear infection.  We are hoping he is going through a growth spurt because he drank 4 Boosts today!!!  At 355 calories each, he might have replaced the pound he lost last week while being sick.  We can always hope I guess...

Busy

Mema and Grandpa have kept us busy, so the photography business has been on hold for a while.  We are having fun hanging out with them, especially since we have not seen a whole lot of Tim.  He started Anesthesia this week, and loves it!!!  Maybe this might be his calling...  Enjoy the pictures of my sweet angel!!  We are still trying to get him to eat, and I continue to get more and more flustered with it every day.  This past week has been horrible for him, as he has been super sick.  Some mean virus decided to visit our house, and it has keep him down.  He is on steroids and a nebulizer right now, so hopefully we will get him back to feel like a champ.  Once he is back to Carter, then we will start looking at why he does not want to eat.  One possibility is maybe bad acid reflux...  I will keep you updated!!

My Little Model

Earlier this week, we were shopping in SLC with Mema and Grandpa.  All the sudden, this man and women come up to us and just start gushing over Carter.  "Oh, he is so adorable, oh how precious".  Really, we are so used to this, because, come on, he IS adorable!!!  But this man continued, asking us question about him and whatnot.  Come to find out, he is an agent for a modeling agency, and is really interested in Carter.  (They just finished working with the GAP!!)  So, long story short, his assistant contacted me and they want to meet with Carter tomorrow.  I am taking Tim with me for protection, in case it is all a scam, but I looked them up and they seem legit.  I keep asking Carter if he wants to go to work, and he just lays his head down like it just sounds exhausting.  Carter, my little super model!!!  I love it, even if it does only last for a day!!!!

We are Still Here

Oh boy, have we been busy.  Last TUESDAY Carter and I picked up Mema and Grandpa at the airport.  We dropped them back off at home, and then headed back into SLC for his Genetics appointment at the Children's Hospital.  Long story short, be will be watching his eyes and bone growth for Stickler's Disease (associated with Pierre Robin).  He does have short stature, so Genetics wants to see us again when he is 3 years old.  If this is still a problem, at that time, they will x-ray every bone in his body and see what is going on.

WEDNESDAY we spent time with the Grandparents, taking a walk, and playing with Carter.
THURSDAY Andrea and the kids came into town to celebrate an early birthday for Mom.  We love getting to see the Chariter family, so we were super excited when they finally got here.
On FRIDAY we went to the mall so Andrea could experience shopping just a few blocks away from home.  Friday night Jason and Steffany got into town, so we went over to Steve and Kathy's for some awesome desert.  Yummy!
SATURDAY was the big birthday day for Mom.  We started out by all of us heading out to Crystal Hot Springs.  It was relaxing, and the kids seemed to enjoy it tons.  After that, we came home and partook in some amazing Cupcakes Grandpa got.  Yummy again.  About now I was starting to stress because we had hired a teenager to come over to watch all the kids while we went out to a late dinner.  Steve and Kathy were going to be bringing the babysitter over when they came.  Well, the doorbell rang, and I was seriously about to cry.  I was super nervous about leaving sweet Carter with a stranger.  But, much to my surprise (and relief), Kathy decided to forgo dinner and watch the kids for us.  Oh, I do love Aunt Kathy!!!!  Thank you soooo much!!!!!  So, off to SLC for some Red Iguana dinner.  Amazing food, drinks, and music.  I think Mom really enjoyed it!  We came home late and had Birthday cake.  Carter was all tucked in bed safe and sounds, so I was a happy Mom.
On SUNDAY, we said goodbye to Jason and Steffany.  The kids were itching to get out, so we decided to take them to the Air force Museum.  I think it is safe to say that everyone enjoyed themselves and loved seeing the big planes.
Early MONDAY morning, Andrea and the kids headed back home.  Boy was the house quiet!!  Carter had a speech therapy appointment in the afternoon.  Basically, Carter gets to play with his food, and does not have to eat anything if he does not want to.  We will be seeing the therapist again next week, so hopefully we can get this little man to start eating some food.
Today, TUESDAY, Carter and I got up super early and headed for the Children's hospital for his Opthamology appointment.  The Doctor felt he did not fall in the category for Stickler's Disease.  He did have some near-sidedness, but not enough to warrant glasses at this time.  He said probably when he turns 4 and starts going to pre-school is when he will need them.  So, for now, just yearly eye checks for Carter.
Wow, I think you all should be caught up on what is going on.  Mom and Dad keep me busy, so I don't have as much time to blog or post daily pictures.  Relax people, I will keep trying.  Happy Birthday Cousin Caleb.  We love you and miss you!!!!  Don't forget to check out all the POD, they are good this past week!!!
