Camping

This past weekend, we took Carter on his first Camping trip. Not only did we camp, but we went backpacking. Yes, you read right, backpacking with an 8 month old!!! We went to the Uinta Mountains outside of Park City with Clint and Lindsay. The first night we just car camped right next to a river. It was a good thing the river was so loud, because Carter was up every half hour to an hour because he could not breathe. Poor guy got a stuffy nose and had problems all night. Woke up that morning cranky due to the lack of sleep, and told Tim I was going to be going home, because I could not stand another night of no sleep. Tim begged me to stay one more night, and promised that he would take care of Carter during the night. So, we backpacked into Wall Lake, only about 1 mile in, and set up camp. After getting there, we decided to take another hike, just to completely exhaust us. Once again, Carter could not breathe and we were up all night. Tim did take control tough and tried to sooth the poor little one. All in all, Carter was so well behaved, and it would have been a great trip if we could have just gotten a little sleep. Maybe next year...
