Seattle

I have done it!  I have officially spent a night away from my baby.  Not only was it one night, but it was 4 days, 3 nights!!!  We decided to celebrate Tim being done with school with an adults only trip to Seattle with Nick and Teresa.  It was a wonderful time, and it made us so thankful for wonderful friends.

DAY 1
Basically just a lot of eating, laughing, and more eating!!

DAY 2
Sightseeing, eating again, and REI!!!
Beautiful weather in Seattle!

DAY 3
Girls and boys go separate ways.
Boys: Rock climbing
Girls: Spa Day
Amazing day hanging out with Teresa going to the spa for my first ever massage.  Wonderful experience!!!  And some shopping.
Met up with the boys to eat at the Crab Pot and then headed to my first Baseball game.  How about them Mariners?
And, one last game of Euker.  Which I would like to document as the girls winning!!!

DAY 4
Sad to start the drive home, but so excited to hold my baby boy.  It was amazing seeing Carter after that long.  I missed him dearly.  Thanks to all the Grandparents for watching all the boys.  And, Thanks to Nick and Teresa for being amazing friends and all the laughs this weekend!!!  Love you guys!!!!
Best part of the whole trip:  All the Carter loves!!

Morning Time

When we woke up in Stanley, the clouds have lifted, and the mountains were out in all their glory.  It was hard to leave, but we were excited to get into Coeur d'Alene and see our new home for the next few weeks.

Thanks to amazing friends, this is our view out our front window for the next few weeks.  I think we shall survive. :)
Carter caught a nasty bug, and has been down the past 2 days with a fever and vomiting.  Oh the joys of being on vacation!  The only thing he would say this morning was "Let's go home".  Sad...  If he only understood this is our home for the moment.

Vacation Begins

We left Layton today and headed out to Stanley, Idaho.  It was a 6 hour drive, and Carter was so ready to get out of the car.  It was a snowy day the whole way.  Did somebody say April was spring?

When we got to Stanley, we checked into our favorite hotel right on the Salmon river, and then headed for the hot springs!  Yeah baby!!

This is the view from our room.  Tough to look at huh?

Tomorrow we head for Coeur d'Alene.  Unless we decide to just hang out at the hot springs again all day....  We are homeless after all, and I think that means we can do whatever we want!
What?  We have to get back in the car again??

Goodbye Utah

Last night at the Half-Way house.  Slumber party in the basement.

Have I ever told you how good of work Dad does?  Check it out!

Last meal in our home.

I told you he did good work!

Saying Goodbye to his room.

Can I take it with me, Bampa?

I'll just stay right here.

Last picture of the Half-Way house.
We have loved living here so much!  Thank you to Mom and Dad for providing such a wonderful home for us to stay in.  We loved having so many people visit, and getting to spend such great time with the family.  It was a wonderful 2 years, and we are so sad to leave.  Goodbye Half-Way house, you were amazing!!!

Last Day in Utah

So, its your last day in Utah.  You have a mess of a house with things everywhere to be packed.  What do you do?  Yeah, that is right, Go Skiing!!!  Who can pass up one last time on the slopes in the best snow on earth?
Some how Carter's Jacket did not make it in the car, so he had to use one of mine.  I think it worked out pretty good!

I hope you enjoyed your last day this year on the slopes little man!!  You did so well, and your Dad and I are so proud of how much you have improved this season!  You are well on your way to becoming a pro!!!!

Professional

Carter is officially a sleep study professional.  He was such a champ!  When we arrived to our room for the night, he freaked out!  We are talking kicking, screaming, and demanding to go Bye Bye.  But, I sat him down  and read him a good book, which seemed to help.  As soon as the ladies came in to start hooking him up, he freaked out again.   He was crying, and screaming at the top of his lungs, but he did not move.  About half way though it all, he gave up and stopped crying, but because it took so much energy to fight for so long, he was exhausted.  And, he preceded to fall asleep sitting up while the girls were taping him up.  Yeah, a true miracle, and it only gets better.  As soon as they were done, I put him down in the bed and he told me to go lay down on my bed.  Yeah, what a difference from last year when he demanded to hold my hand all night long.
At about 10:30, Carter feel asleep all on his own.  We had to wake him up to put on his CPAP at 12:30, and then he slept until they woke us up for good at 5:30.  It was amazing, and I am so proud of my little man.  We should have the results back in a few weeks, but right now I can tell you that he does sleep a lot better with the CPAP on.  Without the CPAP he is a very noisy sleeper, but he is not having as many episodes as last year.  So, maybe some good news is in our future.  Good job Carter, Mommy is so proud of you!!!!

All done, but they poked my finger Mommy!!!

Lets go home!!!
